Erol Uçmazbaş

General Manager, MEDAŞ

Erol Uçmazbaş was born in 1974 in Eskişehir, and graduated from Eskişehir Anatolian High School in 1992, and from Faculty of Economics at the University of İstanbul in 1997. He started his career as Assistant Tax Inspector at the Tax Inspectors Board in the Ministry of Finance in 1998, and worked as a Tax Inspector until 2006. Uçmazbaş worked as the Deputy Senior Vice President of Financial Affairs in Alarko Holding between 2006 and 2009 and following privatization of MEDAŞ, he acted as the Assistant General Manager for MEDAŞ until 2014. He served as the General Manager of MEPAŞ between 2013 and 2015, and since December 1, 2015, he is the General Manager of MEDAŞ, distributing electricity to 2 million customers in 6 provinces with an approximate population of 4 million inhabitants. Erol Uçmazbaş is fluent in English.
