The Project consisted of the engineering, procurement and construction of 307 km of 48" pipeline between Erzurum and I·mranlı (Sivas), which was a part of the integrated natural gas network in Turkey, intended to transport Turkmen and/or Iranian natural gas to Turkey and to Europe.
The construction of the pipeline was achieved on a very difficult terrain and during very harsh winter conditions; at elevations as high as 2.800 m and at temperatures as low as -25 °C. 21 roads, 2 railways and 21 rivers with flow rates of 25-50 m3/sec. were crossed during the execution of the works.
